Foundations for our Future

Foundations for our Future will provide compassionate care to our communities for generations to come

It is an exciting time in our programme as we prepare to get ready for the construction of our new hospital building at Calderdale Royal towards the end of 2026. The new building will have a new Emergency Department, with a dedicated Children’s Emergency Department, and eight new wards.

We are transforming our services across Calderdale and Huddersfield, delivering care closer to home in the community, supported by sustainable and innovative healthcare in our two hospitals.

In the coming months we will also open our new multi-storey car park, and start on projects which will enhance the quality of care we provide, including a new maternity floor, catheter labs expansion and main entrance redevelopment at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
